Cleveland Central Catholic Synthetic Turf Field

The Issue: Cleveland Central Catholic High School’s home football and soccer field was in need of refurbishment.

Located in Cleveland’s historic Slavic Village neighborhood, a part of the city hit extremely hard during the economic downturn, a new field and stadium would be a bright spot in this community. And, it became a reality through a grant awarded by the Cleveland Browns, the NFL Youth Football Fund and Local Initiatives Support Corporation, which went toward the installation of a new synthetic turf field.

The Job: SCG was hired to install the synthetic turf field at the new athletic complex. SCG’s Signature Turf, which is suitable for all sports, was used on the field.

The Results: The field was completed in June 2010, and Cleveland Central Catholic is pleased with the results and experience it had working with SCG. “We knew from the beginning that we wanted SCG, and only them, to do our new field,” said Karl Ertle, the president/principal of Cleveland Central Catholic High School at the time of the field’s installation. “They [SCG] have a national record of performance success and provide quality personal service that guarantees a great venue for the student-athletes. The Franks family and the entire SCG team have been true professionals and have given us a field second to none!”
